Hello...this is my first post as I am new to this forum. I have been researching my BOGER family line and am now trying to find records and information about the daughter colonies of Riebensdorf specifically Bethanien, Olgenfeld, Michaelstahl, and Ruhenthal. My great grandmother Anna Boger Nufer was born in Bethanien, Petigorsk. Her parents were Michael and Elizabeth FREYMULLER KIEBE. I have no information at all about Bethanien. She and my great grandfather Christoph Boger lived in Olgenfeld. He died there in 1887. My grandmother Wilhelmina Boger Bitter was born in or near there in Pauloski. I would like to find records about these areas. Michaelstahl was the earliest daughter colony I know about but I have no information about it either. I'm kind of stuck...do any of you know about these villages? Names I am looking for in these places are BOGER KIEBE FREYMÜLLER
Thank you so much!

Hello,
I found in german language some results with the keywords Boger and Riebensdorf. An other german site is: GERUS -Ahnenforschung. One russian site is: Wolgadeutschen.Net. Sorry that I can't help you more.
Regards

The AHSGR organization has much information on the Wolga/Volga Germans. They can be found at http://ahsgr.org/ . One of the AHSGR chapters (Sunflower in Hays, KS) has research materials including a list of German villages in Russia. On that list is the villages you mention.
Most of your villages indicate they are in the North Caucasus which is a long way from the Volga villages Good Luck!
