Folks, Due to Search constantly reporting that even unusual words (e.g. "winnipeg") were common and therefore not searched I have adjusted the settings for the Forum search temporarily. The default setting for "Common" was set to 5% of all words found. Since we only have 225 posts at the moment any word in more than 11 posts was considered common. I have changed the setting to 25% and increased the size of indexed words from "3 characters to 10 characters in length" to "4 characters to 32 characters in length". Some initial testing shows the search is working much better now. As the number of posts increase we will lower the Common setting until it reaches its default value again. Comments? Questions? |
