A plat map of Speyer has been added to our Village Plat Maps page. This map was recreated using an older plat map created in 1943-1944 as a guide. Ango Urlacher created this new plat map based on his memory of the area as he grew-up in Speyer. He was forced to leave Speyer in 1944. The map is located at http://www.blackseagr.org/maps/speyer.pdf

Enjoy!

The Black Sea German Research database now has over 1.8 million names in it and 326 unique trees. Check to see if your ancestors are there and if they aren't, send your family tree (GEDCOM preferred) to database@blackseagr.org

No new trees this week but lots of additions to databases already posted.
* Obits, death notices (additions include information on those executed in Odessa)
* Aspenleiter (additions/corrections) - this database focuses on many of the Catholic families in the Beresan area
* Waldman/Heier (additions/corrections)

Check out these new additions at http://www.blackseagr.org
