I am researching the Braun family of Franzfeld. My husband's grandfather, Max Braun was born 9 November 1865. There were at least 5 Braun families in this village. I am trying to figure out who his parents were. He left the village and boarded a ship, the Pretoria in Hamburg and arrived in New York in April 1902. I have the census of 1858 which is before his birth and I have the village map of 1943, which is after he left. Does anyone have any other information which would be helpful? Are there any other translated censuses? |
