My family name is Frison. Leo Frison was my father, John Frison was my grandfather, (Sebastian Frison was my great grandfather, Anton Frison was my great great grandfather., his father was Ludwig, his father Valentine and his father Martin. I am completing my family tree and want to discover all the family connections back to when the Frisons left Oberseebach in Alsace France. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
John, Sebastian and Anton were all born and farmed in Selz, then Russia. A cousin of mine told me some relatives that did not immigrate to the USA and Canada starved and died under Stalin's rule. Are there any surviving relatives in the Ukraine and did any family members get shipped to Siberia? I understand that some relatives fled to Germany but do not know any of the names.
I have some documents that detail one relatives history through the revolution and WWII but have yet to pinpoint the connections.
I want to discover where the land is they farmed and hopefully visit it some day
Rachelle
