I have been using Family Tree Maker since I started doing computer genealogy and find it a bit cumbersome when trying to add sources and children's information.

I'd like to hear some opinions on what software you use and why.

Thanks!

There is another discussion about Family Tree maker at http://blackseagr.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=40 but to answer your question I use FTM 16 and I have found the handling of citations/sources for facts to be pretty easy to use. Just position your your cursor on any fact and press Ctrl+S to either view, change or add a source.

None the less I don't like the tight integration with Ancestry.com and I think there are better Genealogy programs out there. I particularly like Legacy Family Tree and one of these days I will get the time to investigate it further! :)
