Thank you! Is the Merten book something that is readily available? Moreover, has it been translated into English?

Another question: I noticed that you have some old maps. I've come across some maps of Crimea from the late 1800s, but they aren't at all detailed. I've not seen any Soviet-era maps so far. Have you?

It is available for sale in both German and English versions. The German version is "Handbuch Russland-Deutsche" and it is available at Amazon.de for 97 Euros. The English version is available at the Germans from Russia Heritage Collection at http://library.ndsu.edu/grhc/order/gene ... dbook.html as the "German-Russian Handbook" (799 pages, $125 + S&H).
